I never really understood the entire macaroon obsession. I never found them very tasty, in fact the only thing I liked about them was that they looked cute. That was until I visited Pierre Marcolini in Brussels. The most amazing macaroons I’ve ever tasted!

As I wrote earlier I am absolutely obsessed with decor at the moment so I was thinking I should make a post on some of my favourite things in my room. It’s so important for me to have beautiful and inspiring things around me and I am constantly rearranging the furniture and the decor.

I think it’s so weird that only a couple of weeks ago there were no leaves on the trees and even if we pretended that it was warm, it wasn’t. Now it’s green everywhere and yesterday we had 20 degrees here.
I think it’s so fascinating how a pattern can become so popular. It has been copied all around the world (See above: Top from H&M) and when Lindex did a collaboration with them in 2012 it literally sold out in 2 seconds. The Missoni pattern is a pattern that almost everybody recognises.
I wouldn’t say that I am the biggest fan of their clothes. Yes, I absolutely love the patterns and the colour-combinations but I think that they rely a little bit too much on just that. I don’t want to walk around like a living ad-campaign. But on the other hand, why break a winning concept? It seams to be working for them so why do something else..
Anyway, I was not going to write about their clothes. Something I am way more interested in is Missoni Home. I am so jealous of my friend Majken who has the most amazing linen from the brand and I would love to have those but to start my collection I bought this towel underneath. I’ve become absolutely obsessed with beautiful decor pieces from various brands. Everything from tea and coffee cups to tables and art. Now when I am moving to Amsterdam after the summer I want to have these cute key-pieces that would make my apartment feeling more like home. I think that is so important when you move to a different city or country.
So I definitely wish for some more of these now when my birthday is coming up on Saturday!
A couple of weeks ago me and Alvia had the best day! She is such an easy person to hang out with and we always have a lot of fun together. In the end of the day we got the great (??) idea to shoot some pictures and these are some of the ones that I took of her. People were walking by and staring so much when she played around. Talk about being comfortable in front of the camera!

Two days ago I got home from a wonderful week in Holland with my boyfriend. It’s always amazing visiting him there and the week flew by way to fast.
These pictures I took when we were down by the beach. The weather was great and we sat (layed) down for a beer and soaked up the sun. The perfect way to spend a warm day I would say! I can only imagine how great it must be there during the summer!

Since I will probably move to Amsterdam after the summer I have been obsessed with home decorating inspo lately. I have so many ideas of how I want my apartment to look. I love my room that I have right now but it’s an entirely different thing when you get to decorate an entire apartment.
The apartment I had in Shanghai was worn down and in some parts the paint had started to come off the walls. Even if I loved the apartment I had there (mainly because it was MINE) I want something different this time. I want it to be more modern and smaller. My apartment in Shanghai had two floors and even if it wasn’t that big it was to big for me. Sometimes I would feel scared that someone was downstairs/upstairs and I would rather live a little bit smaller so I would feel safer.

Last week me and Bou went to Brussels during the day. It was my first time there and it was really cool place to see. We went there by train in the morning and went back home around six again which was the perfect amount of time I think. After having walked around for an entire day we were absolutely exhausted.
We had lunch at a Moules Frites restaurant in the middle of a really crowded restaurant area. At that point I was so hungry and tired that I felt like I was going to start crying but after the lunch I was back on track again. We walked around town and stayed at a couple of places to have a drink. It was a really good but tiering day!

You know when you find things in the back of your wardrobe that you haven’t used in ages and you wonder why you would have ever put it away in the first place? I have had a lot of those moments lately which is absolutely perfect! These are one of the pieces I found last week. I absolutely love it and I will probably be using it a lot this summer!

I have now arrived safe and sound in Holland. Today I am going to Amsterdam to meet up with Bou’s brother who’s going to show me around the city for a bit. After that I am meeting up with Bou again at Schiphol when he gets back from Stockholm (???) so that we’ll take the train back to the Hague together and go out to eat something.
Yesterday it was 23 degrees (celsius) in Stockholm so it’s easy to say that summer is standing on our doorstep! These are the sort of outfits I am looking so much forward to wearing when it gets a bit warmer. Just a cool pair of denim cutoffs, an oversized ACNE tshirt, a cool pair of shoes, some bracelets and of course some sunnies! Pretty epic I would say!!

When I woke up this morning I was super excited. Today I’m going to the Netherlands to visit my boyfriend! We will have an entire week with each other which will be absolutely amazing. The funny thing is that he is travelling to Stockholm during the day tomorrow for a work thing so I am probably going to spend the day in Amsterdam and then meet up with him again on Schiphol when he gets back.
Also I am super excited about the Friday that we will spend in Brussels, Belgium. I am not sure if I have been there before but my mother told me that I went there in secondary school but I can’t recall that at all.
Anyway, I need to keep packing now! Have a great day!
