This morning we celebrated my little sister who turned 19. We went into her room early in the morning and sang for her and gave her the birthday presents that Clinton as usual ended up opening. He LOVES opening presents, the moment he sees them he turns completely crazy like a little kid. A quite cute thing when you're around but not as much of a hit when the presents are laying underneath the christmas tree.
Photography by Emelie Sundvall When me and my sister were going to take photos of this dress I immediately knew I wanted us to do it by this tile stove in our apartment. They really go so well together. We were using a flash for once which we usually wouldn't but sometimes it can be fun, especially inside. The only boring thing about the photos was the original colour of them, which is why I chose to made them black and white and voila! I really love them, especially since they are such a contrast to how the photos here on the blog usually look. For the last couple of months I've become a bigger fan of dresses, and not only black ones, also the ones with nice patterns and more colours. From time to time it is so nice to put on a dress and feel super feminine for a bit and it really gives you this self confidence boost since it makes you feel like a woman! I think it's important to mix it up so you don't get bored and for me it usually goes from one extreme to another, which I think is the most fun! Today I'm going to work for a bit. Have to finish up an invite for an exclusive VIP event for the fashion brand FracasNoir that I work for and after that me and my mum will go for a walk with the doggy. Yesterday I skipped my daily walk which resulted in me feeling quite bad in the evening so I really think getting outside and moving for a bit every day is key for me to feel better. So that's what I will do! After that we will probably pick up some sushi for lunch. Did you btw see the amazing pancakes on my Instagram that mami made for me this morning? Really getting so spoiled here at home!
The other day I was wearing my silver shoes to spice up the boring winter-dark outfit I was wearing but even I realise that at some moments statement shoes are just not the right way to go. So today I thought I'd share another little tip of mine that I use quite often, especially on those days when I'm just jumping into the first clothes that are laying around and end up looking like something similar to a hobo. In these moments, to make myself look a bit more presentable I usually add a fur collar to whatever coat I'm wearing - and you know what the good thing is? You can even wear it when taking the coat off! This little trick can even make you get away with wearing the t-shirt you slept in last night which makes it amazing for every lazy person out there. For people (including me) that love simple looks, and simple pieces of clothing it is always quite difficult not falling into the trap of looking boring. Especially having a blog I cannot really wear a grey t-shirt and jeans every day even if I'd sometimes like to. What I've done to try to prevent this is constantly looking for ways to reinvent my casual looks and make them look new again and this is where accessories like this one comes in. Some days it's statement shoes and sometimes it's other accessories like this one or a cool scarf, a cool bag - you name it. It really lays in the little details you choose to add and I promise this will make any little couch potato look super cool immediately. Do you have any tips and tricks you use to make your looks more interesting?

Those who are following me on Instagram already saw the first photo in this post yesterday from when I was chilling at home on the sofa in my new turtleneck from Zara that I got the other day. During the winter there's really nothing like turtlenecks, either when outside or inside! I've been wearing this one non-stop since I got it a few days back. At the moment my life is really all about doing things that makes me feel good. Like resting a lot, drinking a lot of tea and watching a lot of Swedish TV as well as taking daily walks around town. It is no incredibly nice to be home and I'm not looking forward to going back to Holland, except for the fact that I will see my love this weekend of course. Btw, how do you like my self-made bob? Makes me realise how incredibly different I would look in short hair! I've always been one for the long (for myself, love short hair on others) so not in my planning to change anything yet! But let's see. Anyways, this thing about having the hair inside the turtleneck is something I really like. I love having it out as well, but it is true that when the hair is out it makes it look like your head is free-flying in the air since you can't really see the neck. And that's not something we want do we?!
