DSC_8814There's nothing better than a white shirt, especially not when paired with a pair of leopard print shorts. I am a true believer in comfortable garments and outfits which doesn't interfere with the things you are doing throughout the day. For days when you have a lot to take care of, a nice dress and heels simply doesn't cut it since it will prevent you from moving freely. On day's like these, I always choose to go as simple as possible, and instead focus on bringing in perhaps one element that will give the outfit that little extra - like in this case the leopard print shorts. It simply can't go wrong. Today, I decided to treat myself to a manicure. I did shellac for the first time three weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with the result so today I needed to redo it since my nails had been growing so much. Last time I decided to go for a nude looking nail but this time I made the decision to go for black nails! There will of course come a little review in a bit! After my manicure I met up with my boyfriend for a real truffle lunch! We ordered a truffle pizza and ravioli for truffle sauce which was absolutely amazing! Now I am going to relax for a bit and after that we will have dinner and then he has his birthday party! Woho. Screen Shot 2014-08-24 at 17.14.02I have been longing for a snapback for a very long time now, so guess if I got happy when I got a box full of beanies and snapbacks sent to my apartment by the Korean brand One Woman Man. I really think they make you look so ridiculously cool and it instantly takes an outfit from boring to exciting! I must say that even if I would have loved to stay longer in my beautiful Stockholm it feels good to be back in Holland. Before I'm going back to Amsterdam on Sunday, I'm spending some days in The Hague with my boyfriend and on Saturday I'm coming with him to Düsseldorf since he is moving there and we need to drive his things to the apartment. So yesterday we had to run errands all day and after that we went for a Bikram yoga class and had a nice dinner before we went out for some drinks! A lot of fun but today I've been so incredibly tired! But at least we went for lunch at our favourite Chinese place! DSC_8756A chilled outfit for my last day in town. Now I'm in Holland and me and Bou have been running around all morning to fix some frames for some paintings he has and now we are off to buy some lightbulbs and later we are doing Bikram yoga! Screen Shot 2014-08-24 at 17.13.18For some reason the photos got deleted from lightroom so all I could do was take screenshots of them, which is why the quality of these photos is so bad. Anyways, there are worse things in life, but it's a shame!Now I believe it is safe to say that the summer has come to an end which I'm feeling a bit sad about, but I'm also reminding myself to stay optimistic about the autumn. There are so many amazing things ahead and autumn also means back to routine, which is something I usually like. When the summer has come to an end and the autumn begins you really get this fresh start. You can reflect upon what you have done until now, the good things and the bad things and decide how you can do things even better in the time that lies ahead! It is the time to learn from mistakes and successes to be able to grow to an even stronger person than before.I would never want to be anyone else but myself, but there are always things to improve. I think the easiest way to be able to visualise is to write it down in a list, so here you can see mine! 1. Work more efficiently - Decide beforehand what needs to be done in order to make the day run more smoothly and get more things done in a shorter amount of time. Stop procrastinating and act instead! 2. Spend more time with my friends - Sometimes when there's a lot to do it's easy to convince yourself that you don't have time to be social. 3. Be more positive and let go of things that I don't have any power over - Most of the time I am a positive person, but as many other people I get insanely stressed about small things that I don't have any power over. I want to start letting go more of these things and think that everything will eventually be okay! 4. Only surround myself with positive people - Positive people send out positive energy which will make you into a happier person! If you want to be a positive, happy and successful person there's no better way than being with likeminded people. Reflecting over your personality is really the most powerful way to getting to know who you are and getting closer to where you want to be! photo 1I just spent a week together with my amazing boyfriend here in Sweden. We hadn’t seen each other in five weeks and therefore I felt that I didn’t want to do anything but spending time with him which resulted in zero blogging. First I felt a bit guilty about it but then I reminded myself that sometimes you just have to turn everything off around you and focus on what is really important in life. It’s quite difficult for me to just enjoy the moment without stressing about work and I almost never allow myself to even take an entire day to just relax, so in other words it was a much needed break for me. Anyways, I had the best week in a long time. He had his birthday on Monday and arrived in Sweden on Tuesday evening so the two of us left for the country house for two days of full on relaxation. We ate some nice food, a lot of cakes and watched an entire season of Bron (the Bridge) before we headed back to Stockholm on Thursday evening to eat crayfish together with my family, grandma and grandpa. We started off the Friday with some bikram yoga which literally sucked all the energy out of us, so we took a well deserved breakfast at the restaurant Broms which was absolutely great. During the day we just relaxed, went to the Acne store and then to Humlan for a cocktail. After that we went home for a quick rest and then to Mikkeller, a Danish beer place that have all the beers from different breweries you can imagine. Such a cool place! Bou had planned the dinner plans so I had no idea where we were going, but was happy to find out we were going to Rolfs Kök, a restaurant I’ve been wanting to visit for ages! We skipped the starters and instead ordered three mains: Hearts of duck with greenpepper, Sherry, broccoli & cauliflower, Flap steak with aubergine, morels, marrow of ox & white wine and Red wine braised cheeks of ox with truffle & potato purée. It was so good and a place I would love to visit again! After the amazing dinner (followed by an insane food coma) we went for another beer at Bierhaus and after that home to get some sleep. When we woke up yesterday we both were completely exhausted and decided to spend the entire day in bed watching tv and movies which was perfect since it was raining outside anyways. We laid there until my best friend Majken came over for dinner and after that it was back to the sofa to watch Maleficent! Phew, now the recap is over and we are back to present!
